“I just built a two-story, 1500 sq. ft. house with 20’ cathedral ceilings, in Hudson, NY. Because the painting and finishing requirements were unusually varied and complex, my general contractor and I decided that Louis DeCrosta and L.A. Painting would be the absolute best choice to handle every aspect of the job.
Louis worked closely with me to pick paint colors and finishes and was extraordinarily accommodating with scheduling each task around my general contractor’s needs.
With meticulous and painstaking attention to detail, L.A. Painting sanded and primed the walls, ceilings, and doors and applied two coats of paint to each; puttied and sanded nail holes and primed and applied two coats of paint to all the trim; sanded and sealed the interior stairs with three coats of poly finish; cleaned and oiled the exposed collar ties; and cleaned, polished, and sealed the basement’s concrete floor.

“I engaged Louis DeCrosta to paint my entire house (3 floors, approximately 2,500 sq. feet) last fall. I selected the colors with his help, he suggested the appropriate types of paint, prepared the walls for work and painted the house in the promised amount of time.
His work was excellent, he was flexible, responsible and willing to accommodate many requests outside of those related to pure painting, such as installing the new curtain rods and moving several light fixtures.
His flexibility and sense of responsibility were manifest when I asked him to change the color of one of the bigger rooms. The paint store sold him an old color, something that became obvious only when re-painting the room. Lou corrected the error and assumed responsibility for the part that we both thought was adequate.

“Lou was recommended to us by a friend and reputable builder in Hudson, NY. When we contacted her for suggestions regarding the refinishing of wood trim on the south side of our townhouse on Warren Street.
The trim required extensive work including; washing, scraping, patching, sanding, priming, and painting, as well as the replacement of certain areas of the crown, entry portico and front door frame, which was executed by two associates of Lou’s that he had worked with previously and recommended to us for that portion of the work.

“On Monday, January 15th, 2018 Louis DeCrosta of L.A. Painting came and completed the painting of our bathrooms in our Rotterdam, NY residence. There was extensive damage to the walls and ceilings that required repairs including laborious patching and sanding.
